Taiwan tea & rituals—
Crafted by mist, mountain air, and tradition.

Our Collections

—————————

Summer Collection

A refreshing introduction to Taiwanese whole-leaf tea, created for warm afternoons, relaxed gatherings, and effortless cold brewing.

The Summer collection brings together three distinct expressions of Taiwanese tea: the creamy warmth of roasted Jin Xuan, the clean fragrance of jasmine-scented oolong, and the honeyed fruit character of Alishan red oolong.

Each tea can be enjoyed hot, but reveals an especially smooth, aromatic character when cold-brewed.

The three teas are sold in a discovery trio with three 50g boxes, or sold in tins separately.

Autumn Collection

A seasonal tea collection inspired by autumn mountains, golden blossoms, and the quiet ritual of sharing tea beneath the moon.

The Mid-Autumn Tasting Trio brings together a roasted high-mountain oolong, a rare native purple-bud black tea, and a traditionally scented wild osmanthus oolong.

Each tea offers a different expression of autumn: deep and roasted, elegant and fruity, or golden and floral.

The three teas, including the limited Violet Pearl can be found in the three=tea discovery trio or sold in tins separately along with the Sunlit.

About Us

—————————

Some things are not simply found. They stay with you.

Linger Isle began with a cup of tea in Taiwan’s Alishan high mountain gardens, 1,300 to 1,600 meters above sea level. Surrounded by cool air, drifting mist, and mountain light, we tasted Taiwanese tea where it truly belongs.

Soft, fragrant, and unforgettable.

That cup reminded us that great tea is never made by chance. It begins with carefully tended gardens, healthy leaves, the right cultivars, and Taiwan’s mountain climate. It is shaped by altitude, mist, slow growth, and the skilled hands of farmers and artisans whose knowledge has passed through generations.

This is why we created Linger Isle: to share the beauty of Taiwanese tea in a way that feels warm, refined, and approachable.

Our teas are selected to express the quiet richness of the island — floral oolong, smooth high mountain leaves, gentle sweetness, and careful craft.

Linger Isle is tea from Taiwan, made to linger.

From mountain gardens to everyday rituals, we hope each cup brings a moment worth slowing down for, and a taste of Taiwan that stays with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

About us

Where do your teas come from?

Our teas are sourced from selected tea-growing regions and makers across Taiwan. The exact origin varies by tea and may include mountain gardens, traditional tea villages and specialist flower-scenting regions.

What makes Taiwanese tea distinctive?

Taiwan’s varied elevations, misty mountain climates, tea cultivars and refined processing traditions create teas with remarkable fragrance, clarity and texture. Taiwanese teas are particularly known for their layered aromas, smooth mouthfeel and lingering finish.

Are all Linger Isle teas loose-leaf teas?

Yes. Our main collections feature whole-leaf loose tea rather than tea bags. Many of our teas are ball-rolled, allowing the leaves to gradually unfurl and release their aroma over several infusions.

About our Craft

What is traditionally flower-scented tea?

Traditional flower-scenting is a craft in which fresh blossoms and tea leaves are layered together under carefully controlled conditions. As the blossoms release their natural fragrance, the tea leaves slowly absorb it. The flowers are then removed, leaving their aroma within the tea.

Is flower-scented tea the same as flavoured tea?

No. Traditional scented tea is not simply tea mixed with dried petals or sprayed with perfume. Real blossoms are used to naturally scent the leaves, sometimes through several rounds, creating a cleaner, more integrated and lasting floral aroma.

Do your teas contain artificial flavoring?

Our traditionally scented teas use real blossoms to impart their fragrance rather than relying on synthetic floral perfume. Our unscented teas develop their aroma naturally through cultivar, origin, oxidation, roasting and tea-making craftsmanship. Please refer to each product page for its specific ingredients.

How to Enjoy Linger Isle

How should I brew Linger Isle tea?

For a balanced hot brew, we recommend using:
- 4–5 g of tea leaves
- 150 ml of water
- hot water at 90–95°C
Steep for approximately 2 minutes and re-steep up to two additional times.
Adjust the amount of tea, temperature or steeping time according to your preferred strength.

How do I make cold-brew tea?

For cold brewing, add 8–10 g of tea leaves to 800 ml of cold or room-temperature water. Refrigerate for 6–8 hours, then strain or remove the leaves before serving.

Why haven’t my tea leaves fully opened up?

Many Taiwanese teas leaves are tightly balled or rolled. They just need enough water, space and time to gradually unfurl. Use a roomy teapot, brewing cup or infuser rather than a small tea bag or a narrow strainer.

What should I do if the tea tastes too light?

Try increasing the amount of tea leaves before greatly extending the steeping time. Make sure the water is hot enough and that the leaves have sufficient space to open. For ball-rolled teas, the second infusion may also taste fuller than the first.

Can I drink the teas with milk or sugar?

You can, although we recommend tasting the tea on its own first. Roasted teas and black teas generally pair more naturally with milk, while delicate oolongs and flower-scented teas are often best enjoyed without additional flavouring.

Do Linger Isle teas contain caffeine?

Yes. Oolong, black tea, red oolong and green oolong are all made from the tea plant and naturally contain caffeine. The actual amount varies according to the tea, leaf quantity, water temperature and steeping time.

Packaging & Storage

How should I store the tea?

Keep the tea tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, moisture and strong odours. Always use a dry spoon when taking tea from the package.

What sizes are available?

Sizes vary by collection. Current formats may include:
- 125g individual tea tins
- Our Discovery Trio gift sets containing three 50g teas
- Selected seasonal or limited-edition gift boxes in smaller formats
Please refer to the individual product page for the exact net weight and contents.

Are Linger Isle teas suitable as gifts?

Yes. Our teas and presentation sets are designed for personal gifting, seasonal celebrations, international gifts and corporate occasions. Available packaging and seasonal selections may vary throughout the year.

Orders, Partnerships & Customization

Do you offer wholesale or distribution partnerships?

Yes. We welcome enquiries from tea retailers, importers, distributors, hospitality businesses and selected international partners. Product availability, minimum order quantities and sampling arrangements depend on the collection and destination market.
